Answering Your Questions:

How is Valley View Cares different from other food banks?

We are different from other food banks in several ways. We are not associated with a governmental agency and therefore are not restricted in how we serve our clients. Our client experience involves a grocery store type approach to obtaining food. Also, we offer a variety of fresh food items including produce, milk, meat, and eggs.

What can I expect my experience to be if I come to Valley View Cares for help?

When a person arrives at Valley View Cares to receive services, they sign in, receive a number, and complete an application. They are interviewed by a member of our team to determine their qualification to participate in our program. Once qualified, they guest will wait until their number is called at which time they are escorted by a volunteer through the Valley View Cares market.

How can I be a part of the ministry?

We hold "Lobby-to-Market" events to inform the community of those seeking to help out the mission. We provide opportunities for people to give of both their time and financial resources to help us further our mission.

When can I see the ministry in action?

Come to a tour! We hold two tours each month--on the 2nd Friday @4pm, and on the 4th Saturday @12pm.
