Family
Jeff and his wife Denise met in college at Colorado State University, but did not immediately hit it off. It was not until nearly a decade later that they reconnected at a gathering of mutual friends, and later married. They have two kids, both now teenagers. Both now attend Columbine High School. Alexa is a varsity swimmer and is very active in the church youth program. Mitchell, is also a competative swimmer and active in the VVCC youth program.
Background
Jeff is what we sometimes call a Timothy story, that is, a pastor raised up by and through the local church. He and his family began attending Valley View Christian Church at their grand opening. At that time he was working as a local contractor and handyman. After only a few weeks, Jeff and his wife Denise began helping out in the Children's Ministry. From Arts and Crafts Helper, he moved to being a teacher, then lead teacher and facilitator for elementary aged kids. Then in 2005 the Children's Pastor invited Jeff to join his leadership team and the two began a mentoring and discipling relationship that was tragically cut short early in the following year. At that time, Jeff and the rest of the leadership team stepped in to fill the pastor's role. Some months later Jeff was hired as the full-time Children's Pastor.
